Jetje
Thirty-five years ago, Jetje Baert started a shop selling old lace and brocante at the Kraanlei in the famous Ghent district of Patershol. When Jetje, who is now 87 years old, was forced to quit Het Tierelantijntje four years ago for health reasons, daughter Mieke and granddaughter, Pauline, dreamed of ‘doing something’ with the property and Grandma’s legacy. That’s when it became Café Jetje. The menu is always changing, featuring seasonal dishes and delicacies from grandmothers day. Jetje’s decoration and furniture and fittings, also changes thematically and seasonally, naturally in a brocante style. And what’s really great, is that you can also buy a lot of the brocante items you see there. https://www.facebook.com/jetje.gent
