Inside look at the Brocantewebshop
In the northern region of Veendam – also known as Parkstad and moreover the third largest place in the province of Groningen – you can find the Brocante Webshop showroom which was established in January 2017, of which Bonnie and René are its passionate owners. A fairy tale full of breath-taking brocante. Photography and text: Margreet Frens.
You have to search a little, but I soon find the path on the main street that Bonnie was talking about and make my way towards the buildings behind the houses. A large sign ‘Brocante Webshop’ indicates that I’m in the right place. It’s a bright, sunny day and Bonnie warmly welcomes me from her showroom. I’m incredibly curious because I have already bought many items from Bonnie and René and have always been impressed by their stand at fairs. Once inside, this is confirmed once again; what a marvellous ambience. The building is old and frames the gorgeous brocante items beautifully. Tranquil corners have been created everywhere and let’s be clear, Bonnie is real dab hand at styling.
